• It is shown that Keswick goes through many metamorphoses with age:
    • Baby: mudskipper-like appearance and has tentacle-like heat sensors on his back.
    • 6-year-old: platypus-like appearance and shoots barbed quills from his mouth when he hiccups.
    • Teenager: looks just like his current appearance but has a tail and squirts ink when nervous.
    • Young Adult: current appearance.
    • Old: jellyfish-like appearance.
  • The quote "There can be only one." that Keswick says is a reference to the tagline of Highlander.
  • Kitty was a cheerleader as a teenager.
  • Old Lady Metzger was only shown young.
  • Kitty's braces and pigtails, when seen as a teenager, is possibly a homage to Tootie's braces and pigtails from The Fairly OddParents, another Butch Hartman cartoon. Both Kitty and Tootie are voiced by Grey DeLisle.
  • Snaptrap as a teenager referred to The Chief as Fonzie. This is a homage to Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli from Happy Days.
  • This episode is similar to the Futurama episode, Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles and when Keswick shrinks and becomes, is similar when Zoidberg shrinks and becomes too.
  • Puceberry is a parody of Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt.
  • This episode confirms that Keswick is, in fact, a non-existent species of animal.
  • In this episode, Dudley is the second character who was shown in pajamas, first was Kitty in Cruisin' for a Bruisin'.
  • Teen Francisco was inspired by Thriller Michael Jackson.
  • It is shown that Kitty wore braces at the age of 6 because in Operation: Happy Birthday, when Kitty was 5 she isn't shown to wear braces at all.
  • The Chief's super flea outfit is possibly a homage to Superman.
  • This is the second time Dudley got tasered, the first being Super Duper Crime Busters.
  • We learn that each person who was hit by the ray (excluding Keswick) was a teenager in a different decade:
    • The Chief: 1950s
    • Kitty: late 1990s-early 2000s
    • Snaptrap and the rest of D.O.O.M.: 1980s

Running Gags

  • Hiding toppings under the yogurt so you don't have to pay for the toppings.
  • Dudley hitting a disco ball with the Young Gun causing it to reflect in different directions.
  • T.U.F.F. and D.O.O.M. aging backwards.
  • Keswick:
    • His metamorphoses getting weirder and weirder.
    • Still acting pretty much the same at any age despite getting younger and younger.
  • Dance Party Fridays.

  • Keswick said that after someone gets hit by the Young Gun they age backwards until they disappear, yet Old Lady Metzger still didn't continue to age backwards after being hit by the gun and she still stayed as a young adult.
  • Keswick said that his species looks like jellyfish when they get old, yet in The Doomies when his parents are seen they don't look like jellyfish at all and resemble older versions of his current appearance.
  • Kitty as a baby looked different from her baby pictures in Doom-Mates.
  • Snaptrap is able to eat yogurt even though he has cheese allergy. Though it might be something that is in the cheese and not the yogurt. Same thing that's happened in The Wrong Stuff and Iron Mutt.
