It is possible that this episode was inspired from the TV show Get Smart, from the episode My Nephew Is A Spy. The main protagonist, Maxwell Smart, known as Agent 86 (counterpart of Dudley) together with his partner, Agent 99 (counterpart of Kitty) has to hide his true job from his aunt and uncle, lying that he is the director of a greeting cards company.
This episode's title card is unique than most other episodes. It shares this trait with Operation: Happy Birthday
The episode's title is a parody of "Armageddon".
