Eric, also known as the Water Delivery Guy, is a character who has appeared in Forget Me Mutt, Dog's Best Friend, Diary of a Mad Cat, and 'Til Doom Do Us Part. Kitty finds him attractive and even offers him her phone number. He is voiced by Daran Norris.

History[]

Eric's first appearance is in Forget Me Mutt. Eric did not have any voice lines in it, Eric just put water in the cooler and just enjoyed the work. Getting ready to leave, Kitty, having a crush on him because of his beauty (without even getting to know him), gives Eric her phone number and purrs while Eric looks at her in confusion.

In Dog's Best Friend, he actually spoke for the first time and revealed that he was going to ask Kitty out on a date, but he got smashed by a mallet from Keswick and was seriously injured.

In Diary of a Mad Cat, Bird Brain mind controlled him in order to combat Dudley and Kitty so that he could steal a flying contraption from the Petropolis Airspace Museum. Kitty completely lost control at the sight of him, and when Dudley was about to punch him in the face, Kitty prevented him, and Eric himself (still mind controlled) threw a bottle of water at them, after which he disappears until the end of the episode. The fact that Kitty has a crush on Eric was told to almost all of Petropolis by Keswick and Chief, who learned about it through Kitty's diary.

In Til Doom Do Us Part, it is revealed that Eric really does love Kitty, even though he is rich and he became a water delivery guy so he can see her. He even proposes to her and names a country after her. Eric proposes Kitty to become the queen of "Kitaly", to which she agrees, but remembering the mission with the fake wedding, she refuses. Eric desperately says to Dudley that he is lucky guy, but in an attempt by Kitty to explain what is happening, Chief throws Eric out of the window so that he does not interfere with the mission. Towards the end of the episode at the fake wedding, Eric again proposes to Kitty, offering to escape together in "Kitaly", but is immediately shocked with taser by Chief, after which he disappears for the rest of the episode.

"Mutts And Bolts" Controversy[]

After the events of 'Til Doom Do Us Part, Eric completely disappeared from physical appearances in the show itself, but despite this, the show still left one unusual information about him.

In the episode Mutts and Bolts, Dudley gains the ability to predict the future from being struck by lightning. In this episode, Kitty tried to ask Dudley if she would marry Eric, but Dudley was often distracted and did not give her an answer to this question. At the end of the episode, when Dudley manages to prevent Snaptrap from gaining the ability to predict the future, Kitty asks him question one last time, to which Dudley replies:

“Yes, you do. But there's something you'll need to know about him! HE'S...!!!”
Dudley, Mutts and Bolts

After this scene, the fans started a big controversy that continues to this day. Among the fans there was a mistaken fact that the events of this episode were ignored in 'Til Doom Do Us Part, but in fact it is not, because the episode itself takes place before the events of Mutts And Bolts on the production code, and the misunderstanding itself was due to scheduling changes in Nickelodeon and the transition the show itself on Nicktoons.

Dudley's Frightened Face

Dudley's Frightened Face, when he says "HE'S ..."

It is worth noting that when Dudley wanted to tell more information about Eric, his face had a frightened look, from which it can considered that this major detail about Eric is something bad and possibly frightening. The very fact that Eric himself, after 'Til Doom Do Us Part, has not appeared on the show for a long time, and there were only mentions of him, already makes you think that something is wrong with him.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that an answer to this detail will be received in the near future, because, firstly, the complete absence of the fact that Butch worked on this episode at all and, secondly, the lack of communication with the writers of this episode, due to for which the development of this character stops at the big cliffhanger.
