The episode's title is a parody of the phrase, "Gloom and Doom".
The reversal of the phrase is also referential to Larry's breakaway from D.O.O.M. to form his own agency, G.L.O.O.M. (Genius Larry's Order of Mayhem).
The Stray Hound sign that appears at the bus station is a reference to the Greyhound bus line.
The onion car that Snaptrap (dressed as a princess) drives to the bus station is possibly a reference to the onion carriage that appeared in the Shrek films.
